MAIS HABITAR MADEIRA | Mobilising Private Investment for Affordable Housing

In October, the Governo Regional da Madeira hosted an investment promotion event at the Portuguese Embassy in Paris, showcasing Madeira as an attractive destination for investment.

Among the initiatives presented was MAIS HABITAR MADEIRA, a €50 million private equity fund established by MAGNIFY Capital Partners, in collaboration with Invest Madeira and Instituto de Desenvolvimento Empresarial, to mobilise private capital and expand the supply of affordable housing across the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

The Fund aims to support the development of 200 to 300 residential apartments, with expected selling prices ranging from €200,000 to €350,000, making homeownership more accessible to families across the region.

Already registered with the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), MAIS HABITAR MADEIRA is actively evaluating investment projects while progressing with its initial fundraising efforts.

The Madeiran diaspora represents one of the Fund's most important potential sources of investment. By connecting Madeiran communities living abroad with investment opportunities in their home region, the Fund seeks to channel private capital into projects that generate both financial returns and a positive, lasting social and economic impact.
